NFC recently entered into a new agreement with Kazakhstan Aluminium Smelter JSC on the construction of Phase II of the Aluminium Smelter in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan to add another 125kt/y smelting capacity.  Once completed on schedule by the end of 2008, the smelter in Pavlodar will be able to produce 250,000 tons of aluminium ingot per annum.

NFC will use its advance “in-house” high amperage reduction technology in Phase II of the smelter and will supply the complete of equipment for the smelter, including equipment made in its own workshop, in other places in China and in Europe.
