CNKH, NFC's secondary company at Chifeng in Inner Mongolia autonomous region has just completed its Phase IV zinc smelting project on 22nd June 2011, entering into trial production phase.

CNKH zinc smelter was originally built in 1991 with a production capacity of merely 20,000t/a. After continuing expansion of Phase II, III and IV, it is growing into a large nonferrous metal producer with the total zinc production capacity of 210,000t/a, providing a solid foundation for NFC and CNMC's efforts to build the "northern zinc capital" in China.
