On October 22nd, 2013, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev, co-chaired the 18th regular meeting between the Chinese and Russian heads of government.

In their witness, NFC and MBC signed the EPC Contract for Ozernoye Lead and Zinc Project as one of the economic cooperation achievements between the two countries. The Principal Agreement of Financing Cooperation for Ozernoye project has already been signed in Moscow during President Xi Jinping’s visit to Russia this March.

As a world-class zinc-lead mine project, Ozernoye project has 157mt of ore reserve with average lead and zinc grades of 1.02% and 5.23% respectively, containing 9.8 mt of lead-zinc metals. The project has a design capacity of 8 mt/a of mining and dressing with a construction period of 3 years.
