From May 19th to 21st , a NFC team led by president Wang Hongqian visited Kazakhstan to inspect the progress of Kzakhmys’ Bozashakol copper concentrator and UPNK’s calcined petroleum coke (CPC) plant, both of which are being constructed by NFC as general contractor. The Bozashakol project is located in the west of Pavlodar, 230km from Astana, and the two concentrators will mine 30 million tonnes of ore per year. The CPC project, which is located in the Northern Industrial Zone of Pavlodar, has a design capacity of 280kt/a.

On May 19th, together with Kazakhmys’ president Oleg Novachuk and commercial counselor Yang Xiumin from Chinese embassy to Kazakhstan, Mr. Wang visited Bozashakol site, inspecting the mining area, site of clay minerals concentrator and facilities under construction such as crushing workshop, flotation workshop and administration building. After receiving a detailed report on working progress and plan, the inspecting team held a field meeting.

On 20th, Mr. Wang visited NFC’s representative office in Pavlodar, and then, he inspected the construction site of CPC plant together with the general manager of UPNK, viewing the technological process presentation, receiving report on project process, as well as requesting guaranteeing working safety during construction.
