On December 16th, NFC president Wang Hongqian paid visit to Chinese consul-general Zhang Wei in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Mr. Wang first retrospected NFC’s business in Kazakhstan. NFC entered this market as early as in 2005, and had successfully completed KAS aluminum smelter project, which was inspected four times by President Nazarbayev in person. At present, in Kazakhstan NFC is simultaneously constructing 5 projects, two of which are world-class copper concentrators, with over 3000 Chinese personnel and 1500 local personnel. One of the copper concentrators, Aktogay project, is under the governance of Chinese consulate general in Almaty. NFC is deeply grateful for the solid guidance and support from our consulate general. NFC will keep playing a leading role in non-ferrous metal industry on Sino-Kazakhstan capacity cooperation, by which can encourage more Chinese companies to contribute to the cause. NFC is confident to help the local people to build an army of industrial workforce, promoting a deeper integration of mutual benefits. 

Consul-general Zhang appreciated the overall improvement of construction and living conditions at Aktogay site, and gave further advice on information exchange, work guidance and consular protection during the construction period.

After the meeting in Almaty, consul-general Zhang send two consuls to Aktogay with Mr. Wang to work at site.
