25 July, 2016, Beijing  A 6-member delegation led by Mr. John Hick, chairman of Canadian company Era Resources, and Sir Rabbie Namaliu, member of Era BOD and former Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, visited NFC and exchanged ideas on developing Yandera Copper Project in PNG.

NFC president Wang Hongqian introduced NFC’s recent achievement on mining and EPC projects, especially about the two under-construction copper projects in Kazakhstan which have the same scale as that of Yandera. Mr. Wang also promised NFC’s continuing support on Era’s work of developing Yandera.

The delegation appreciated NFC’s support and updated the project’s progress according to its schedule, such as scoping study, new version of Environmental Impact Assessment for government’s approval and resource increase.

The two parties primarily achieved agreement on how to optimize and promote the development of Yandera, as well as expected the OBOR initiative and the good bilateral relationship between China and PNG can further support the project.
