After signing the EPC contract for Kazakhstan’s first aluminum smelter in 2005, NFC  completed Phase I in just 27 months, and then completed Phase II in 2010 with a total capacity of 250,000t/a. Kazakhstan President Nazarbayev visited KAS four times, including both ceremonies for completion of Phase I and Phase II. Mr. Nazarbayev highly appraised the advanced technology and the reliability of the equipment provided by NFC, likening the aluminum plant to an exquisite name card of NFC.
