After the Phase-I Project of the Vietnam Sin Quyen Copper Mine, NFC undertook the Phase-II T?nh Lào Cai Copper Smelting Plant Expansion Project of Vietnam Sin Quyen Copper Combined Enterprise, which was commenced in August 2016 and completed in November 2021. The design scale is 20,000 t/a cathode copper, 80,000 t/a sulfuric acid, 680 kg/a gold, and 320 kg/a silver. During the construction, the Project was seriously affected by the COVID-19. As the general contractor, NFC overcame many difficulties, including the personnel and equipment admission, the severe pandemic situation and the urgent time requirement, and completed the construction and operation of the Project safely, with high quality. The smooth operation of the Project has not only driven the economy of T?nh Lào Cai, but also provided employment opportunities for more than 1,000 people, making the Project another symbol of the profound friendship between the China and Vietnam.
